Closer to God, Satan attacks

It is not only amazing to see God work in our lives and confirm our decision to serve him, but it is interesting to see Satan try and attack us as we take this next step. The last two weeks Satan has been putting obstacles in our way and as Janelle said tonight he is looking for any crack he can find. This week started out with a great time in church on Sunday and then a dead battery in my car on Monday morning as I was headed out the door to take Ashton to school and go to work. Later that day Janelle got some discouraging news regarding nursing school at TCU and then last night to top it off Aaron had some difficulty breathing due to mucous build up in his lungs. After three nebulizer treatments and waking a friend (thanks Chad!) to come stay with Ashton at 1:00 am we headed toward the ER. Fortunately we didn't make it as he began to breathe better on the way. We pulled over and he began to cough, threw up, and smiled at us like everything was OK then. What a night! Through all of our trials God is right there walking with us and holding us in his grasp.  Please continue to pray for us. There are possibilities for us to visit three countries in Central America this summer. Central America, South America, Japan, and Australia are areas that keep coming up. We continue to pray that God will shape our path and guide us in his direction and that we would not make plans for Him.
