We Surrender

On Sunday morning, August 24, 2008, we went forward as a family to pray with our Pastor, Mike Haley, and surrender our lives to full-time ministry as missionaries to a foreign field. Janelle and I have discussed missions since the beginning of our marriage.  Our current church home, Hallmark Baptist Church, has a great heart for missions. Over the last three years God has been preparing us to take the next step in our Christian walk through our individual growth, growth as a couple, and exposure to many missionaries. We are standing at the beginning of a journey and excited for God's answers to questions like: Where? When? How? We are hoping to take many survey trips over the next couple of years to meet missionaries, spend time with them in the field and get a feeling for what life might be like in the respective country. Our current plan is that I will slowly start to reduce my role at TCU and in athletic training as Janelle attends Nursing school at TCU. Most importantly we are listening to God and seeking his direction as we move forward and know that our plans may not be His. Ashton is asking a lot of questions and Aaron is just ready to meet new kids and tell them about Jesus. We would appreciate each of your prayers. We are excited about the plans God has for us!
